Hunters View Phase I - San Francisco, CA

Building on the lessons learned with the Seattle Housing Authority project, DGI initiated the Hunters View Public Housing Hope VI project in 2005. DGI worked diligently with the San Francisco Housing Authority to develop and implement a 1:1 replacement process to ensure residents of demolished units could live in the newly constructed site. This innovation chartered the course for anti-displacement strategies of other public-funded projects across the country.

Phase I has 107 units, including 80 public housing replacement units and 27 additional tax credit rental units. It features new infrastructure (undergrounding of utilities, new street grid, new sewers) and a park.
